Chip
Set any of the twelve phase shifters by hand and watch the light re-route through the mesh of six tunable interferometers. The readout shows how much light reaches each detector, and the transfer map shows where light from every input ends up.
VION is our four-channel programmable light processor. The simulator runs its design, so you can program it today, straight from your browser.
Figures in the simulator are estimates from the VION design.
Set any of the twelve phase shifters by hand and watch the light re-route through the mesh of six tunable interferometers. The readout shows how much light reaches each detector, and the transfer map shows where light from every input ends up.

Pick a target operation, such as pass-through, two splitters, or an even spread of every input over all four outputs. The simulator finds the phases that make the chip match it, loads them, and reports how closely the chip follows the target as it drifts.

Build the experiment around the chip. Choose a tunable laser or a photon pair source, pick the input, and swap between a photodiode, an avalanche photodiode and a superconducting single-photon detector.

Each chip number is a different virtual chip from the same design, with its own fabrication offsets and imperfections, so the same phases give slightly different light on another chip. Share the number to compare results.
